County Cross Country Championships

Congratulations and thank you  to the following runners who competed for Beaumont in the County Cross Country Championships on Saturday 2nd February. The County Championships ended a particularly successful year for Beaumont with two top 10 finishes in the Pre Junior and Inter Boys age groups.

Firstly, thank you to all of the runners who have competed this season. We have had more competitors running this year than for many years and have scored in every team competition in the league. It was a shame that due to injury or illness several runners couldn't run in the Championships. However, individually they were our most successful ever, with Beaumont runners winning 3 of the 6 races.
Congratulations to Josh and Harriet who have been extremely committed and talented runners throughout their years at Beaumont and both deserved their individual victories on Thursday. We have very competitive District Competitions in St Albans and Harpenden so it takes a strong runner to become a District Champion. Josh is a year 11 student so was competing against runners two years older than him, making his performance all the more impressive. Our third champion of the night was Emily Anders who, like Josh was competing a year out of age and won with a really strong and dominant performance. A great finish to a very strong District season.
Our league team results have still to be sent through to Beaumont and I will post them as soon as I have them.
Once again, many thanks to all of you for an enjoyable and successful season.

Once again, well done to everyone who ran. All four teams improved their totals and should hope for a top three league finish dependent on the Verulam round results. We are looking at our most successful overall District season for a number of years.

Second RoundDistrict Cross Country at STAGS

A good performance from all 4 teams saw us score again in all 4 competitions, with 14 of the 19 runners improving their positions from last week. With two rounds to go, hopefully all 4 teams can run well at Nicholas Breakspear this Thursday and Verulam next Thursday. Well done once again to everyone who ran this week.

Sandringham Fun Run, Tuesday 11th September

You will be getting a coach to Sandringham on Tuesday but will need to be picked up from Sandringham at 5.15pm.

Well done to all of the Beaumont runners who competed on Thursday at Townsend in the first round of the District League. All 4 teams scored well and I will publish team results when I receive them from the organisers.
